The Johann von Goisern annual theme for 2020: Dare to be different
Wearing a Johann von Goisern frame is not just about choosing a high quality product, but also about immersing yourself in an exciting story that distinguishes the brand from mainstream glasses.
The scene shows raw material being transported over the mountains (transport of Italian cellulose acetate over the Alps to Bad Goisern), where it is cut to size by a woodcutter according to the designer’s instructions (material cutting and lamination). The colour combination of the frame reflects the colours of nature.
With the introduction of our experimental “Arts” line, we are bringing even more complex colour combinations to the market, which take up to four times longer to finish than “standard” laminations. Since our lamination process is heavily concentrated on handcraft, the brand’s focus is thus shifting back to “handmade in Austria”.
